SOLO P3C MEMORY UPGRADE PROCEDURE

The Gateway Solo P3C can accept a maximum of 32MB of RAM in addition to the 8MB permanently installed on the motherboard. Memory must be installed in pairs:

• Upgrade to 16MB by adding two 4MB modules
• Upgrade to 24MB by adding two 8MB modules
• Upgrade to 40MB by adding two 16MB modules

Procedures

• Turn off all power to your system by unplugging the wall cord AND removing the battery.
• Place the laptop face-down. Open the small square memory cover.
• If there are any memory modules to be uninstalled, remove them.
• Insert the new modules by placing the edge of the module on an angle in the slot; press the module gently until it snaps into place.
• Replace the memory cover.
• Reattach the AC adapter and install the battery.
