Important Battery Instructions

Batteries shipped may be charged, but not at 100%.

1) Insert battery into computer -- run battery completely down to 0% charge. Do this by running laptop without the ac adapter plugged in.

2) Apply a four hour charge to the battery.

NEW BATTERIES NEED TO BE FULLY CHARGED AND DISCHARGED UP TO FIVE [5] TIMES BEFORE PERFORMING AT FULL CAPACITY!

It is recommended the battery should be charged to 100% and let drain to 0% all the time. If using the laptop on ac power for an extended period of time, it is recommended the battery be removed. These hints will extend the life of the battery dramatically.

SECONDARY BATTERIES SHOULD BE CHARGED WITHOUT THE PRIMARY BATTERY INSTALLED, USING THE SAME CONDITIONING PROCESS STATED ABOVE.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES SELF-DISCHARGE WHEN STORED FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. This is particularly the case of Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries.

It is perfectly normal for the battery pack to get warm during use or recharging.

Only run the battery calibration after the conditioning has been completed. Follow your laptop manufacturer’s instructions on how to calibrate the battery.
